Weekly group APA sessions with the POW-C offer ASU students a valuable opportunity to build their confidence and skills in academic writing. These sessions are designed to support students in mastering APA formatting and style, which is essential for writing papers, research assignments, and both undergraduate and graduate-level work across many disciplines.
Each week, the group explores a specific APA-related topic, such as in-text citations, reference lists, and formatting papers. This structure allows students to build their skills step by step while reinforcing foundational knowledge. At the same time, students are always welcome to bring general questions or concerns, whether they’re just starting or tackling a complex assignment. The flexible format ensures that everyone, regardless of experience level, can benefit from the sessions.
These gatherings are open to all ASU students and are held in an inclusive, supportive, and nonjudgmental learning environment. Whether you’re a first-year undergraduate or a graduate student, you’ll find a space where asking questions is encouraged, peer collaboration is welcomed, and growth is celebrated. The goal is not just to teach APA style, but to empower students with the tools and confidence to succeed in their academic journey.
If no times show up, we are fully booked.
We recommend checking back frequently as students cancel, and new availability appears. We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause, and we are currently working on opening up more appointment slots.
